With temperatures over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, protecting sensitive and necessary optics becomes a real challenge. Protecting them is difficult enough, but doing this without impeding them will require some innovative thinking and unique problem solving skills. Georgia Tech (our technology advisor’s alma mater) certainly has the people, willpower, and tradition to accomplish this. We are very excited to see what materials, cooling, and manufacturing techniques they use to provide solutions and testable prototypes. Go (hypersonic) Yellow Jackets!!!
