Velontra is working to reinvigorate the air-breathing propulsion industry.

Inspired by the rapid successes of the mid-20th century in high-Mach flight, we aim to return America to leadership in jet propulsion innovation, speed, and cost by changing how jet engine development is done. Instead of the risk averse, glacial approach of the last few decades, we will return to the timeless formula of the earlier high-Mach pioneers: sound engineering refined through continual cycles of rapid design, build, and test. The end result will be products that perform, are mass-producible, are readily available, and cost less.
