The B-52 is one of the oldest and longest running airplanes in the USAF fleet. It is pretty cool to see “BUFF” being used “literally” as a step-off point for hypersonic technology development. The B-52 will be used to launch early prototypes of this hypersonic missile. It is also great to the collaboration with the Norwegians on this development. It is worth noting that for strategic defense it is critical for the U.S. to possess this technological capability.
